The summons of the soul
I’ve just watched and loved this interview with the Jungian psychotherapist James Hollis, called ‘The summons of the soul’. Hollis is particularly good on how to get through a mid-life crisis and make the most of the second half of life. There’s so much good stuff in here, but one thing that really stuck with me was when Hollis says the two main things that hold us back from becoming our true selves are fear and lethargy. And that it is completely normal to struggle with either or both every day. That really rings true for me.
